Education ProjectsSeptember Report — 2026
Education remains one of the most important ways to create lasting change in the lives of children and young people. Throughout 2026, Barakah Charity continued to support students and schools by providing essential educational materials, financial assistance, skills training, improved facilities, and new learning spaces.
From a school bag carried by a child to a new classroom built for hundreds of students, every project represents an investment in education and in the future of the next generation.
Education support at a glance.
Our work this year reached students across different communities, helping families manage the cost of education while giving schools the facilities they need for a better learning environment.

Practical support for everyday learning.
From a school bag carried by a child to a new uniform stitched for a girl heading into her first day of term — small items that remove big barriers to attendance and dignity in the classroom.
School bags distributed across several schools throughout the year.
School uniforms provided to girls — supporting attendance, comfort and confidence.
Opening doors through scholarships.
The scholarship fund is supporting 148 students, helping learners continue their education with greater stability and opportunity — from primary years through higher studies.

Bringing water, enabling learning.
Reliable clean water and washing points at schools mean students can stay hydrated, stay healthy, and stay in class — a small change with outsized impact on daily attendance.

Skills for the future.
Barakah IT Center runs a free 3-month IT & English Diploma course — each cohort of 20 students learns computer fundamentals, digital literacy and workplace English at zero cost to families.

Learning support in action.
Three targeted deliveries — solving specific bottlenecks flagged by teachers and school principals.
Photocopy machine
Everyday learning materials — worksheets, exam papers and admin documents — are now produced in-house without cost or delay.
Spectacles distributed
Screening followed by prescription eyewear so students can read the board and their books with clarity and focus.
Band instruments
A full instrument set for the school band — giving students a stage to express confidence, discipline and teamwork.

Healthy learning environments.
Three new lavatories were completed at schools in 2026 — a direct response to parents and teachers who told us the lack of safe, private toilets was affecting attendance, particularly for girls.
Classrooms built for learning.
New classrooms were constructed and fully equipped with furniture, desks and chairs — completed for five schools across the region in 2026.

Building the future of education.
Three-storey buildings currently under construction — designed to serve thousands of students for generations to come.

Stories of hope & impact.
Voices from students, parents and teachers whose lives have been shaped by Barakah's 2026 education projects.
"Before, I often found it difficult to focus during lessons because there was not enough space for everyone. Today, I have my own place to sit and study. I feel more confident in the classroom, and I look forward to coming to school."
"There was a time when my daughter would come home worried about using the school toilets. It affected her willingness to attend school. After the new facilities were completed, I noticed a real change in her. She goes to school without the same fear or hesitation."
"A school is not only made of walls and furniture. It is a place where children discover their abilities. The support we received has helped us create an environment where our students can learn with greater confidence and take pride in their school."
Supporting learners and strengthening schools.
As we look beyond 2026, Barakah Charity remains committed to strengthening education through practical support and long-term investment. The needs of students and schools continue to grow, and our goal is to respond by creating more learning opportunities, improving school facilities, supporting students from financially challenged families, and investing in infrastructure that can benefit communities for many years.
Because when we invest in a child's education, we invest in the future of an entire community.
